9:00AM: Departure from hotel via private bus to Piazza del Popolo from where we will go towards the most important park of Rome: Villa Borghese! Walking along the paths of Villa Borghese, we will discover the most secret angles of park and we will admire the façade of Borghese Gallery. After having discovered the origin and the history of this important Museum, we will continue on our guided of Villa Borghese stopping near the Water clock and the Casa del Cinema.
After that we will stop by the Pincio terrace, one of the most panoramic points of Rome. From here, we will see Piazza del Popolo and, beyond the Tiber, the historical centre of Rome where we can see even the Wedding Cake in Piazza Venezia or the Dome of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. Looking from this exceptional point of view, we will understand why the Pincio is considered one of the most romantic places in Rome. Tour will end back in Piazza del Popolo.
9:00AM: Departure from hotel via private bus for a visit of the most symbolic places of Rome with its wonderful views. We will start from Piazza di Spagna, dominated by the Spanish steps and the Church of Santissima Trinità dei Monti and we will proceed in discovering the rococo masterpiece of Trevi fountain. The guides will explain that, according to tradition, if you throw a coin with your back to the fountain, one day you will return to Rome. So, what are you waiting for? Throw a coin and finger crossed!
We will proceed on to the Pantheon, built originally to honour the 7 divinities of Ancient Rome. With the largest brick dome in the history of architecture, the Pantheon is considered a precursor to all modern places of worship and is the most copied of the classical buildings. The panoramic tour ends in Piazza Navona, built on the ruins of the Circus Domitian and embellished by Bernini’s splendid Fountain of the Four Rivers.
